Megan and John’s Sweetwater Wedding

These two are quite honestly one of the sweetest couples we’ve had the pleasure of knowing. We first met the couple at a Love Wedd event last year. When I got Megan’s email that she wanted to visit the studio and talk about photography, I was thrilled! From the engagement session with dinner following, to the wedding and now after, I have enjoyed every minute we four have spent together. Every time I see Megan and John together, they are giggling with joy and love for each other!

Megan and John’s ceremony was at the Baughman Center in Gainesville, Florida. John’s father was the officiant which was quite special. Their reception was held at Sweetwater Branch Inn. As you can see, they decided to do a first look at Sweetwater where they both were getting ready. They laughed and cried and held each other close… it was so sweet! And we have it all on video! We worked with Platinum Digital Video to put together coverage of us in action and Megan and John graciously allowed us to cover their wedding. Check it out!

Megan’s beautiful bouquet was by Crevasse Regency Florist and incorporated her color palette of light pink, taupe and cream perfectly. Megan’s gorgegous Anne Barge dress was from Solutions Bridal. Megan was such a stunning bride that we used her for a commercial session as one of our Footstone Ink models. Take a peek!

Holiday Sessions and Cards

We can shoot at our studio in Haile Village or we can travel to another fun location. Rachel & Chris’ Wedding

This sweet couple was married at New Oak Grove Baptist Church in High Springs, Florida. Rachel and Christopher had one of the most sentimental and sweet weddings we’ve seen. The families were just so joyous and proud, and the new couple was tearful and excited. Rachel’s gorgeous Maggie Sottero dress was from New Image in Thomasville, Georgia. The beautiful florals were designed by The Flower Shop and match the berry and ivory color scheme perfectly. I think my favorite part of this wedding was their cake bar… yes, that’s right, a cake bar! Two long tables filled with every one of Rachel and Chris’ favorite cakes. We went home with two to-go boxes!

Chris gave this engraved bracelet to Rachel on their first Christmas together. ”Habibi” means “My Beloved” in Arabic. Many blessings to you both!

Truly an Enchanted Evening

The Sebastian Ferrero Foundation held it’s 2011 Noche de Gala, an annual fundraising event that’s like no other in our area. We were honored to be able to sponsor the event as the official photographers and to support the mission of the Foundation. A check was presented for 1.5 million dollars for the continued effort to build a state-of-the-art children’s hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Guests can view and purchase their red carpet photos now on nochedegala.org. All proceeds go to benefit the Foundation. We would also like to thank the contributing photographers who came together in support of this event. It was an amazing night!

It was a lot of fun getting dressed up for this black tie event! I bought my dress at Solutions Bridal in Orlando, Fl. The fabulous belt, earrings and hair accessories came from Solutions Bridal in Gainesville, Fl. A special thanks to Marissa, Laura and Cherish for helping me pull this all together! My great friends CJ and Jeffery, owners at Salon 5402 did my nails and hair. You guys are amazing! Trish Allen with Image Insight gave me my first makeover ever! I loved my make up Trish! We’d also like to thank John Mitchell of John Isaac’s Clothing for outfitting Paul. We feel so fortunate to have these great friends who’d help us get ready for such a special night!

The night wouldn’t have been complete without a hug from Keith Watson. He and his amazing staff did an incredible job… words can’t even describe! Our dear friends Giovanni Lugo of Love Wedd and Danny Johnson joined us as our special guests. We’d also like to thanks our great friends at Frankel Media Group for asking us to be a part of this event. Ryan, Linda, Channing and Summer from FMG and Leslie from SFF… it has truly been a pleasure to work with each of you! We’re looking forward to next year!

Cheltse and Travis’ Engagement Session

Planning the engagement session with our couples is a fun and revealing process. We hear about special places and experiences they’ve shared, and we also get an idea of the styles of our bride and groom and their vision for the wedding. High school sweethearts, Cheltse and Travis wanted to shoot at a few places special to them. The family’s property was not only a personal, but beautiful choice. During her childhood, many family pictures had been taken under the majestic oak, so Cheltse wanted to take pictures of her new family there. Next, we headed to a spot where Cheltse had envisioned being the perfect place to show off a little more of her personality. We LOVED the train track idea. Luckily the rain held and the sun set slowly. It was one of those sessions where we were giggling while shooting…

The Winegard Family

Jason and Kari Leigh Winegard went from a family of three to a family of five overnight! Troy and Connor, the precious twin boys, and their oldest son Tyler are just about the cutest little boys ever! We thought our lives were crazy with two boys… they’ve got us beat! We scheduled their newborn session at Jason and Kari Leigh’s house when the boys were just a few days old. They were surprisingly awake for that age. Typically within the first few days of their lives, little ones will just sleep through the entire session. Luckily, Troy and Connor were quite cooperative!

Our oldest son, Win and Tyler play soccer together so we get to see Jason and Kari Leigh every week. Now if anyone is ever bored on a Thursday night, I tell you what, watching three year olds play soccer is about the best entertainment there is!

Thank you Jason and Kari Leigh for letting us capture such an incredibly precious part of your little boys’ lives. We’re honored and excited every time we get to work with your family. I’m sure time will fly and we’ll be shooting them playing in the grass before we know it!

Ten Precious Years for Erika & Jason

Ten years ago, Erika and Jason were married with a few close friends and family members around. At that point in their lives, a small simple wedding was what was best. Now fast forward ten years and two kids later, the couple decided there was only one way to celebrate such an important anniversary… BIG! Erika spent many hours planning with Melissa DiStefano, of Masterpiece Weddings, designing an event themed “007″ style! The afternoon started with a sweet ceremony officiated by Erika’s father that included the entire family. Following the renewal of their vows and an awesome wardrobe change, the couple then danced the night away under the blue lights to their favorite music played by Wayne’s Entertainment. With their closest friends and family by their side, this precious couple toasted to many more happy decades to come. Congratulations you guys!

Our goal for this project was that our current and future clients could get a glimpse of how the wedding experience goes when working with Footstone. Chloe & Michael’s St. Augustine Wedding

When Chloe first came into my studio I KNEW she was going to pull off an amazing wedding. Her descriptions of her colors, her venues, her flowers… I was in love. The ceremony was held at Memorial Presbyterian Church in St. Augustine and the reception was at the famous Casa Monica Hotel. The details were perfect and the experience of working with this beautiful couple was honoring. The interactions Chloe and Michael had with their friends and family were precious, and it shows in the emotion of their images. It was such a pleasure to get to capture this amazing day… and just WAIT until you see this album! It will be on display at the Florida Bridal Expo on September 11th at the Hilton Hotel. More of their images, along with their guest book and stationery, will be shown this Sunday at the Gainesville Wedding Expo at the Phillips Center of Performing Arts. Love!

Gainesville Wedding Expo
