As most of you know, Paul and I recently welcomed our second little boy into this world. At 3am on April 9th, we headed to the hospital knowing it wouldn’t be long! At 8:21am, Brasher Anthony Privette made his debut at 6 pounds 14 ounces and 19 inches long. About half an hour later, Paul asked our nurse to bring in the grandparents to meet their new grandson. Paul’s mom and dad, “Nana and Pop” and my parents, “Gram and Grumps” got to hold baby Brasher. (I’ll explain “Grumps” another time!) Before this moment, we hadn’t shared the name. Brasher was my grandfather, my dad’s father. He is the patriarch of the Ard family. We are an incredibly large and very close family. When his wife, my Granny, died about a year ago, there were five living generations and most of which lived in Okeechobee, Fl. We come together for almost every holiday, packing in 50 to sometimes nearing 100 people in my Granny’s small house. Several years ago we were forced by the growing numbers to set up a tent outside to accommodate the craziness!
Brasher’s middle name, Anthony, is my dad’s middle name also. It was very special to give him that name since my dad had three girls and wasn’t able to pass his name on to us! I always knew God was going to give me boys so that my precious father wasn’t always so outnumbered!
This past Sunday we dedicated Brasher at our church. Our pastor shared that Anthony meant “priceless”. Pastor chose the verse Psalm 36:7, “How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!”
Paul and I would like to thank all of our friends, family and clients who have been so supportive, loving… and understanding this last month! We’re excited to share this precious baby with you! He’s already joined us in the studio several times! Thanks for your well wishes!
Big brother Win with Brasher… our clients who we’ve taken newborn pictures of know how long it took to get this shot!
