So Thankful!

Monday, December 21st, 2015

Sweetwater Branch WeddingsAs we approach the end of another year, we’re reminded of how thankful we are for our brides and grooms – both past and present.  One of our brides, Lauren, shared this incredible review on Wedding Wire.  Lauren, thank you for taking the time to write this and especially for your sweet words!

“Paul and Kristin are so great to work with! You feel at home and comfortable immediately. Our photographs turned out so beautifully and each picture took me back to the different moments of our special day. You realize the passion they have for photography & also other people’s happiness. Thank you Kristin and Paul!”

Wedding Wire Love

Wednesday, December 16th, 2015

Reflecting today on why we love what we do. Being invited into our client’s lives is something we never take for granted.  Thank you Shelby for taking the time to write this.  We adore your family!

Shelby shared on Wedding Wire:

“Kristin and Paul were by far the best photographers I could have asked for on my wedding day. They’re kindness and compassion shines every time we’re together. They truly care for their brides and grooms, and they make the entire planning process as enjoyable as they can make it. They listen to all of your wants and needs and ensure to capture everything you want and more. Their creativity is refreshing, and they make you feel so comfortable and special on your day. I’m so glad we found them, and I’m happy to not only know them as our wedding photographers, but now also as our friends.”

We’re Getting Personal Today!

Tuesday, December 15th, 2015

Fourteen years ago today, two incredibly young kids got married.  Yes, today is Paul’s and my anniversary!  And yes, I said 14.  Wow!  This picture is of Paul and I in our first little condo.  Believe it or not, I was old enough to have graduated and was teaching at Westwood Middle School.  Paul, hence the hair, had at this point dropped out of school to join a band.  Yep… you read that correctly.  Forget medical school.  He wanted to be a musician.  🙂

My teaching career lasted four short years before the wind shifted in our lives.  I started working for a national printing company that I owe all of my training and printing experience to.  For Paul, after a few years traveling the country (yes, actually they were good enough to tour a bit), he got his first photography job.  After 6 years of working for another photography company, we opened Footstone in 2008.  To be married so young, then to start working together, and having two children… the fact we’re an even stronger unit fourteen years later is a testament to the power of prayer.

While I’m slightly embarrassed to share this picture with my midriff almost showing… Paul is stoked to show off his long hair.

We hope you enjoy the flashback and here’s to working hard for your marriage, the power of prayer, and many more years to come!

Some of Our Favorites – Fall Family Sessions

Monday, December 14th, 2015

This time of year our friends start wondering where we are and if we’re ok… we’re not at many social get togethers or dinners, our gym buddies wonder where we’ve gone, and our families start rapid texting because the first few messages they sent didn’t get a response!

Our noses hit the grindstone every October and we don’t resurface until about December 23rd.  While it’s crazy and busy and we’re consumed with our Fall weddings and families, we are always incredibly grateful and excited for this time of year to come.  Throughout the next week, as we’re counting down the days until Christmas, we want to share with you some of our favorite portraits from this Fall.

Thank you Minde for allowing us the great honor of working with you. Your boys are delightful and we know how proud you and Paul are of the beautiful family you have created. We’ll share more of our favorites very soon!

For Photographers – Learn our why and how

Thursday, December 10th, 2015

We’re excited to announce that next Tuesday, December 15th, we have the honor of teaching for GraphiStudio. Our followers and clients know that GraphiStudio is the printing company we work with exclusively for our family and wedding albums.  They are also our incredible connection to the Ceconi Castle where we take our Destination Portrait Clients each summer.  GraphiStudio has asked us to share the “why” and importantly, how we structure our photography and business in a print focused way.  Why are our clients equally as obsessed with the quality and style of our work in print?  Why are they willing to invest in it?

Photographers, the webinar starts at 2pm. If you’re interested in joining us, email and I can send all the login details.  We are thrilled to have this opportunity to share and encourage other photographers!
